Food for Life
Food for Life is a bold, first-of-its-kind campaign to improve public awareness and behaviour around the connection between health, nutrition and planetary well-being through community engagement.
Founded by multisectoral partners: The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Emirates Nature-WWF and The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations; the campaign supports the UAE’s vision to become a global leader in the drive for transformative change towards healthy diets from sustainable food systems.
H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Mheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), unveiled the campaign at the Food for Future Summit At Expo 2020 on February 23, 2022.
The campaign positions the UAE, and mobilizes the community, to be at the forefront of driving change towards rethinking and reshaping our diets for personal health and wellbeing of our planet.
Mobilizing the community.
At the heart of the campaign lies a series of hands-on activities that community members can partake in that will contribute to improving healthy dietary patterns, and promote healthy diet strategies from sustainable food systems to protect the public’s health, preserve the environment and bolster the national economy.
