Background

Emirates Nature is a UAE environmental non-governmental charity, established in 2001 under the Honorary Founder and President H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed’s vision for the United Arab Emirates. HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the Ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) Board of Directors.

We operate with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah and are governed by a local board of directors. Emirates Nature works in association with WWF, one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations. Emirates Nature-WWF has been active in the UAE for two decades and is renowned for its commitment to biodiversity conservation, habitat protection, sustainable development, and community engagement.

Some of our flagship projects include marine conservation initiatives to protect coral reefs and marine species, wildlife conservation programs focusing on endangered species such as Arabian oryx and sea turtles, habitat restoration projects in critical ecosystems, and sustainable development initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change impacts and promoting eco-friendly practices across various sectors.

Job Summary

Emirates Nature-WWF seeks a dynamic and motivated Senior Officer - Marketing to join our Marketing & Engagement Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and managing marketing campaigns and partnerships that align with Emirates Nature-WWF’s mission and objectives. The Senior Officer - Marketing will collaborate closely with external stakeholders, partners, and internal teams to deliver impactful marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and tangible conservation results.

The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Arabic at a professional level, possesses strong project management and communication skills, and has experience in handling multi-channel campaigns.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Marketing, Digital Engagement & Products, the Senior Officer - Marketing will support the team by identifying opportunities and implementing the marketing strategy, creating and rolling out scalable acquisition and fundraising campaigns, ensuring partner deliverables are met, and contributing to the growth of Emirates Nature-WWF’s Partner Engagement.

The role holder will also support general communications across the wider marketing team such as planning, creating, and rolling out global or localized campaigns/projects, assisting with report development, crafting monthly newsletters, creating presentation decks, and more.

Major Duties and Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement:

  • Frequently liaise with external partners and stakeholders, including corporate partners, media, and community organizations, to strengthen relationships and ensure the smooth execution of campaigns.
  • Support the Business Development Team by managing and fulfilling partner deliverables, including event planning, content creation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Build and execute partner engagement plans utilizing Emirates Nature-WWF’s digital platforms, social media channels, and event-based offerings to enhance visibility and engagement.

Proposal Development & Reporting:

  • Develop comprehensive proposals, pitch decks, and campaign plans for potential and existing partners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage, monitor, and map contractual deliverables for partners, ensuring timely execution and tracking against agreed-upon objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build detailed post-campaign reports, analyzing key metrics, performance, and impact, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Partnership Development & Media Strategy:

  • Identify prospects and develop new media, content, and event partnerships to expand Emirates Nature-WWF’s reach and visibility.
  • Support the team with lead generation campaigns aimed at attracting potential partners and stakeholders to join the organization’s mission.
  • Develop innovative ways to engage with partners, including identifying new benefits and offerings that can enhance both the partner experience and Emirates Nature-WWF’s outreach.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Write and develop compelling content for a range of communications, including newsletters, social media posts, email campaigns, and partner-specific marketing materials.
  • Support in creating and delivering all related marketing collaterals for the organization’s products, ensuring they are impactful with value-based messaging.

Campaign Creation & Management:

  • Brainstorm, develop, and execute bespoke marketing campaigns for EN-WWF’s external stakeholders and partners.
  • Manage and oversee the execution of partner campaign deliverables, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of Emirates Nature-WWF and the partners.
  • Liaise with design agencies to develop and execute creative assets for marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.

Cross-Functional Support:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Communications, Conservation, and Business Development, to ensure an integrated approach to campaigns and partnerships.
  • Stay updated on the latest environmental issues and trends to ensure relevant and impactful messaging in all communications.

General:

  • Support in the delivery of the full marketing mix for all acquisition activities, including events, digital, and PR, working with relevant team members and external resources.
  • Support the Marketing & Engagement team in planning and implementing small and large-scale campaigns, specifically for the organization, across the year with ideas and strategizing.
  • Help build Emirates Nature-WWF Brand Equity within the internal and business audiences with guidance from the team.
  • Alongside the marketing team, plan and focus on the correct audience ensuring audience centricity, focusing on key segments of the business audience (to be defined), and continue to finesse the segmentation and target audience, primarily through effective marketing and engagement activities.
  • Support in creating messaging, driving, and managing social media content, creating and updating the editorial content calendars.
  • Support in covering EN-WWF’s outreach programs, products, and activities in the field, external appearances by EN-WWF management and experts, etc. as needed.
  • Support in the active management of EN-WWF’s assets such as images, videos, internal and external documentation, etc. on Google Drive and Box.
  • Support in active content creation and management for all EN-WWF’s websites and microsites.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles, preferably within the non-profit, environmental, or corporate social responsibility (CSR) sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing external partnerships and executing large-scale marketing campaigns.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) at a professional level is mandatory.

  • Communication: Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic, with a proven ability to create clear, engaging, and persuasive content for a variety of audiences.
  • Digital & Social Media Proficiency: Familiarity with managing digital marketing strategies and social media platforms, including content creation, campaign management, and analytics.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in executing campaign deliverables and producing high-quality content and reports.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights through post-campaign reports and stakeholder feedback.
  • Presentation Skills: Experience developing and delivering presentations and proposals to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Experience working with environmental, conservation, or sustainability-focused organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, content management systems, and email marketing platforms.
  • Experience working in partnership development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
