Empower Corporate Climate Action

Corporates are a significant contributor of greenhouse gas emissions - the reduction of which are essential in mitigating the harmful effects of climate change.  

We launched the Target Climate initiative to support corporates in their low-carbon journey, in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and HSBC Bank Middle East, with support from the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and Dubai Chamber.  

Four workshops were organised in Phase 1 of this initiative and individuals from more than 90 organisations were equipped with the capability to monitor, report, verify and cut back on their greenhouse gas emissions.  

In Phase 2, we supported 10 of these organisations in setting and enhancing targets, developing decarbonisation strategies and exchanging knowledge through communities of practices (CoP). More than 120 professionals have participated in these CoP meetings.
